The 1997 Regal Commodore 402 is built on a modified deep-vee hull with a solid fiberglass bottom, cored hullsides and a well-flared bow. The 402 Commodore uses prop-pockets to reduce shaft angles and allows for shallow-water operations. This is great for use in the Florida Keys. This vessel is well laid out and provides sleeping accommodations for six adults. The Regal Commodore 402 is an excellent family vessel that can be used for cruising, diving and fishing. The Rias Baixas also comes with a 10’ Zodiac hard bottom dingy with a 2006 5 HP Mercury gas engine. There are dingy brackets attached to the swim platform for easy carrying, loading and unloading

The salon area is down three steps from the main deck. The first thing that you notice is the rich light maple wood floor. The new wood flooring extends the full length of the salon including both staterooms.  On the portside of the salon is the head. The head features a molded in sink and cabinet, a head, a stand-up glass enclosed shower.
Forward of the head on the portside is the galley. The galley features a new Sanyo full size refrigerator/freezer. Forward of the refrigerator is the Tappan microwave, and Black and Decker coffee maker which are built into and under the cabinets and above the two burner Princess electric stove.  Above the sink is a Panasonic color television which faces toward the u-shaped dinette on the starboard side that converts to a double berth. Above the dinette is a four piece stereo system. Forward of the galley is the master stateroom. The master stateroom features a queen island berth that has under berth drawers for storage. There are also hanging lockers one on each side of the berth. There is a built in Panasonic television and a DVD player. Aft of the dinette is the aft stateroom. This is a roomy sitting area by day and converts to a Queen size berth by night.

The exterior of the Rias Baixas is in excellent condition and it is easy to see that this vessel is professional maintained. In addition to the isinglass there is a blue canvas cover that goes over the windshield that keeps the interior of the helm looking new. The Rizs Baixas features top, side and camper canvas.  There is also blue canvas that covers the sun pads on the foredeck. The sun pads on the foredeck has built in drink holder on both sides of the pads. There are stainless steel handrails to provide safety going forward.  The foredeck also features a windlass with both foot pedals and helm controls. There is a fiberglass bow pulpit that has a Guess remote controlled spotlight forward of the windlass. The cockpit is very spacious and has L-shaped seating on the starboard side with a table. On the portside there is a wet bar with a sink and a U-Line ice maker. Forward of the wet bar is the helm seat that has room for two adults. On the portside there is a forward facing seat that will accommodate two adults. The cockpit can easily seat 8 adults which makes entertaining family and friends a breeze. Aft of the cockpit is an integral swim platform with swim ladder.  As previously mentioned there are dingy brackets attached to the swim platform to carry the included dingy.

There is a very good electronics package on the Regal. There is a Standard Eclipse VHF radio, a Furuno 24 mile radar, a Magellan NAV 1200 GPS chart plotter a Lowrance depth finder and a 4” compass.

MECHANICAL SPECIFICATIONS

The Regal 402 Commodore is powered by twin Cummins 315 Diamond Edition diesel engines. The port engine has 856 hours and the starboard engine has 868 original hours. There is an 8KW Westerbeke generator with 1500 hours to supply power when under way.
